Founded by Julie Bartholomew, MD, Lumina Studio is a sacred space in Central Florida where beauty becomes ritual and healing is held with precision, artistry, and deep presence. Blending decades of innovation in the beauty and wellness industry, along with two years leading a trauma-informed mental wellness initiative for K–12 students and educators in a rural school system, Dr. Julie brings a heartfelt dedication to care. She supports individuals on journeys of physical and emotional transformation.
A lifelong inventor, Dr. Julie has authored more than 100 global patents in the fields of personalization, beauty, and wellness. Her work helped shape technologies that touched millions — but eventually, her focus began to shift. The path led inward, toward medical tattoo artistry: a practice where external restoration meets deep inner reclamation.
Today, she offers 3D areola and nipple tattooing for breast cancer survivors, gender-affirming transformations, and scar refinement for surgical or emotional wounds. From areola restoration after mastectomy to camouflage for self-harm and stretch marks, each
offering is created with thoughtfulness, presence, and care. Her approach is grounded in nervous system awareness and supported by certifications in Chopra Meditation, trauma-informed mindfulness, and Reiki from Duke Integrative Medicine.
